Classic Truck Fuel Vapor Canister Kits
Classic trucks have vented fuel tanks. Vented fuel tanks vent into your garage.
If you've ever opened the door to your shop and been hit with the smell of raw gasoline, you already know the problem. C10s, F-100s, Apaches, Power Wagons, square-body Chevys, and most other pre-EVAP pickups vent their tanks straight to atmosphere. The Vapor Trapper™ catches that vapor and keeps it out of your air.
Why this matters on a classic truck
- Most builders run the truck rarely and store it sealed for long periods — exactly the worst case for vapor buildup
- In-cab tanks (square-body, early Ford) make the smell impossible to ignore
- Modern fuels (with ethanol) evaporate more aggressively than the gas these trucks were built for
Recommended setup
For most classic truck installs, the 6" Vapor Trapper™ with the standard install kit is the right starting point. Mount it on the frame rail above the tank with Dell clamps and run a 3/8" fuel-rated line up from the tank vent. The Combo Install Kit includes everything you need.
If you've upgraded to a fuel cell or aftermarket tank with -6 ORB vent ports, add the -6 ORB barb fittings.
VaporCanister.com is an authorized retailer of the Vapor Trapper™ by Shop48. Made in USA.
